Minutes of Meeting of Weymouth Board of Commissioners

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Village of Weymouth was held on Feb 1, 2021 in the meeting room at the Medical Centre with Commissioners Gaudett, Frizzell and Mullen present.

Meeting was called to order by the Chair at 7:03 pm.

The minutes of the meeting of Jan 4, 2021 were approved as presented on motion by Commissioner Mullen and seconded by Commissioner Frizzell

Business Arising out of the Minutes:
-driveway has been repaired
-dumpster yet to be relocated
-no chance in skylight leak

Correspondence:
-email from Sherry Spencer of MacDonald Chisholm (now Borderlink) with heads up potential for insurance premium increase.
-email for Dept of Environment following telephone conversation with Chair Gaudet
-letter from Dept of environment confirming previously identified issues are now in compliance
-property assessments for village properties.
-confirmation that appeal of assessment of the old recording office has been approved. Assessment reduced for $158,000 to $78,000

Financial Reports: An updated financial report was presented by Clerk Treasurer. Approved on motion by Commissioner Frizzell, seconded by Commissioner Mullen

New Business:
-from discussion with Dept of Environment it was determined this is the year for full chemical check of water supply. Chair Gaudett will take care of testing.
- inquiry received from S Gavel looking for information on a possible use fore empty space at the medical centre. Former VON site would be first choice. Total of three sites under review.
-Letter and plaque received from the Town of Weymouth Mass. It was decided to ask Sissiboo Landing to find a place to displace the plaque.

Commission meetings will continue to be held on the first Monday of the month unless otherwise advised. Next meeting will be Monday March 1st, 2021. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:38 on motion Commissioner Frizzell seconded by Commissioner Mullen
