Minutes of Meeting of Weymouth Board of Commissioners

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Village of Weymouth was held on November 4th, 2019 in the meeting room at the Medical Centre with Commissioners Gaudett, Raymond, and Mullen present. Regrets from Commissioner Frizzell.

Meeting was called to order by the Chair at 7:00 pm.

Minutes of the meeting of October 7th, 2019, were approved as presented on motion by Commissioner Raymond and seconded by Commissioner Mullen.

Business Arising out of the Minutes:
-see new business for update on Medical Centre

Correspondence:
-Funding request received from Sissiboo Landing. (see new business.)
-Proposal for future operation of the medical centre received from Dr Curtis. (see new business)

Financial Reports: An updated financial report was presented by Clerk Treasurer. Approved on motion by Commissioner Mullen, seconded by Commissioner Raymond.

New Business:
- Chair updated commission on discussions with Nova Scotia Health Authority including the possibility of additional support by way of nurse practitioners. It is hoped that details will be finalized by year end.
- Commission reviewed proposal received for Dr Curtis. Give the complexity of the situation it was decided to review proposals with Melanie Mooney and others with the NS Health Authority.
- The request from Sissiboo Landing was for $200 to match donation made by the local Lions club for addition lighting for the community Christmas Tree which is this year being relocated to the Sissiboo Landing site and continues to be supplied by Carlene Comeau in memory of her parents. Following discussion it was moved by Commissioner Raymond, seconded by Commissioner Mullen that "the Village Commission provide $200 towards the cost of additional lighting" Carried

Next meeting December 2nd, 2019. There being no further business meeting was adjourned at 7:49 on motion Commissioner Raymond, seconded by Commissioner Mullen.
